Why abortion clinics are on the decline in Australia


Abortion is considered a crime in Queensland and New South Wales. Doctors and women who abort an unborn child are at risk of being prosecuted. This has contributed to the steady decline in Australian abortion services. Preterm foundation, the first ever abortion clinic in Australia, shut down in August. Women in rural and regional areas are particularly affected, having limited access to abortion clinics.
