Russia has been making headlines since their recent not-so-democratic elections. But at times it’s hard to see what this has got to do with Australia. However, we do have one very direct link to the country, it’s a uranium deal. In his last weeks as Prime Minister John Howard made an agreement to sell uranium to Russia. But as the situation in the country goes downhill more and more critics of the deal are surfacing. The Greens party have always been against the agreement, but now are making definite moves for it to be revoked.
