Australia is now host to one of the world’s most lucrative literary awards. The newly announced Prime Minister’s Literary Prize will be awarded for the first time next year, with the winner walking away with one hundred thousand dollars. The prize is instituted by Kevin Rudd and will see one winner chosen for best published non-fiction book and one for best published fiction work.
