An emergence of copy-cat crimes is the cause, according to Queensland police, for the rise of contaminated strawberry products around the country.
In a press conference today, NSW Police revealed that over 20 instances of fruit contamination are under investigation in New South Wales alone.
While authorities are raising alarm on this now growing national issue, peak bodies stress that media should avoid hysteria.
