As Australia continues to face its worst bushfire season in over a decade, there is a growing need for volunteer firefighters.

The ongoing bushfire crisis has kept thousands of firefighting volunteers at the frontline, risking their lives to protect homes and communities from catastrophic fire conditions across NSW.

Many Australian emergency services including NSW Rural Fire Service, are largely volunteer-based which have generated public conversation on whether or not volunteer fireys should be financially compensated for their time and efforts.
