Regions and renewables might help to energy crisis: report

The energy crisis has reached a tipping point, warning 5 states to save energy to avoid blackouts, and the Australia’s Energy Market Operator has suspended the spot market for wholesale electricity to maintain supply.

A new report from The Australia Institute launched today, found out if the Federal and State governments plan into renewable energies and allow regional areas being hubs for energy zones, this could be the last energy crisis in Australia.

The report also shows energy ministers will need to increase the benefits to regional communities that host large-scale solar, wind and transmission infrastructure to support renewable energies.
