‘Hail’ is a powerful new feature film which premiered at the Adelaide Film Festival this week. It’s the culmination of six years of collaboration between Director Amiel Courtin-Wilson and Daniel P. Jones – a 50 year old ex-convict with an artist’s vision of the world. When Danny was released from prison he joined a theatre group called ‘Plan B’, a project designed to help former prisoners process their experiences and get on with their lives. Amiel was making a documentary about Plan B, but was so taken by the stories Danny told of his life, and the love story between Danny and his partner Leanne, that he, Danny and Leanne decided to embark on a new adventure together.
