Now in its twenty-fifth year, the HSBC Spanish Film Festival is on from June to July in Palace Cinemas around Australia.

Showing 32 of the best new Spanish language films, the festival shares the culture and heritage of Spanish and Latin American communities.

This year, there’s a focus on female film-makers, featuring movies from directors like Colombian-born Laura Mora Ortega, who studied her craft in Melbourne.

CEO of Palace Cinemas, Benjamin Zeccola, chats to The Wire about his family’s passion for films and how watching foreign films can help us experience other cultures.
