The Federal Government has announced 1.2 million dollars of funding for food rescue charities across Australia to help reduce food waste.

This incentive is part of the government’s commitment to reducing food waste by 50 percent before 20-30.

Food waste costs the economy about 20 billion dollars a year, but is giving charities money to pick up our leftovers the best way to reduce waste?
