The Court of Disputed Returns has ruled that WA will go back to the polls to re-elect the senate after the September election was declared void. It’s been an eventful journey to this point with a result declared only for a re-count to occur which resulting in the Australian Electoral Commission revealing they had misplaced around 14 hundred-ballot papers. Leading to the result being challenged in the High Court.
