Facebook has bought WhatsApp for likely the most ever spent on a start-up application business.

WhatsApp is an online messaging application with 450 million users and is set to join Facebook’s social media conglomerate.Analysts say the move will secure Facebook as the world’s most dominant social media company.The purchase trumps the $8.5 billion spent on the acquisition of Skype.
