Director of acclaimed film Samson and Delilah, Warwick Thornton, has a new film premièring at the Adelaide Film Festival. The Dark Side tells twelve ghost stories from across Australia which have been personally chosen by Thornton from hundreds which were submitted for the project. But these oral histories will have a life beyond the film on a website called The Other Side, where Australians can submit their own first-hand tales of chilling encounters with the spirit world.

The tales, brought to life with some of Australia’s most iconic actors, are not just spooky ghost stories, but a reflection on the culture of story-telling in Aboriginal communities, and speak of a deep connection with family, with ancestors and with spirit.
