Indigenous educators from all over Australia gathered on the lands of the Kaurna nation in Adelaide this week, to brainstorm ways of getting more Aboriginal and Torres Strait people into the teaching profession. As well as discussing issues surrounding professional integrity and combating racism in the classroom, educators spoke about the rise in Indigenous students wanting to identify with their Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
