The Wire

There has been celebrations in South Sudan as both the rebels under  Dr Riek Machar and the Government of President Salva Kii have come together with Dr Machar being given the key post of No 1 Vice President.

This is a significant post, and with the oil wells idle, South Sudan needs peace to get the economy going and people back into their homes.
