In Africa many women become social outcasts after a difficult birth leaves them incoontinent. A relatively smple operation can turn that around and give them back their lives. Dr Andrew Browning is continuing pioneer Catherine Hamlin’s work and taking his clinics across Africa and south east Asia. His charity the Barbara May Foundation builds hospitals and clinics and trains local doctors and nurses to perform the life-changing operation.
