Senate passes changes to Higher Education sector

Yesterday on the last day of Parliament for the year, the Senate has passed a bill which will cut A$1 billion dollar in the budget. Other reforms were to scrap out the Student Start-up scholarships and replace them with loans. The most affected in this bill are disadvantaged students.
