The residents of Australia’s rural town, Walla Walla, have gathered to formalise a refugee resettlement program.

Advocates of the movement, including Walla Walla Refugee Resettlement Committee and the Red Cross, seek to boost service growth, higher levels of education and promote cultural diversification in the small town.

The plan welcomes refugees from the greater Western Sydney area and encourages involvement in a wide range of industries.
