Vladimir Putin has claimed victory in Russia’s election. Despite a series of large protests against Putin in the leadup to the election, he looks set to claim over sixty percent of the vote.
Experts say some parts of the international media, and members of the upper-middle class in Moscow overestimated the strength of the opposition to the ruling party.
