The federal government has given us a lot of doom and gloom the past few weeks, with bleak budget outlooks and announcements about health cuts. But there’s one story, expected later this week, which might soften Abbott’s hard-line image. Inter-country adoption has been put at the top of the Council of Australian Goverments (COAG) agenda. And, this Friday, the Coalition will lead a ‘whole of government’ charge to make foreign adoptions easier for Australian families.
