It would seem around 5000 people were housed during the COVID 19 peak, but the hotels and hostels were only for a limited time.  With COVID 19 still as virulent as ever, high risk people sleeping rough will only provide a high-octane starter for a second or even third virus round if community measures don’t hold.

People should not have to sleep in our streets and there are long term solutions that should be enacted.
