In a move which could fundamentally change Tasmania’s political landscape, the Labor Party and Greens have agreed to form a minority government. After a week of negotiations, Greens leader Nick McKim has accepted a ministry position and Cassy O’Connor will take on a cabinet secretary role. This is a foot in the door for the minor party, which is now expected to have greater input in the Apple Isle’s policy making process.
