Funding doubts force Australian Youth Affairs Coalition closure

AYAC, the national peak body for youth affairs, has announced the closure of its national office as part of a contingency plan made amid funding uncertainty. The closure will coincide with the expiration of funding on 30 June and the Federal Government are yet to announce future support. It’s just one of the government funded organisations which are feeling the pain of the commission of audit recommendations and what they may promise for the upcoming budget. Chairperson Craig Comrie says AYAC will endeavor to continue without funding but this will have a significant impact on their activities.
