Caring for people with a disability can often be a full-time job, and it’s not one that pays too well, which is why support groups are so important. South Australian support group Disability Action has just been told their funding is being withdrawn, and they’ll be closing their doors in two weeks. Its a move that will put even more pressure on other support groups in the community. Moss Politis from the support group MALSSA told Rebecca Johns about the impact it will have on them and David Rigney from Disability Complaint Services says his group is already facing an increased workload.
