Queensland is the first state to take decisive action on the issue of cruelty in the Greyhound Racing industry, with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk abolishing the Queensland All Codes Racing Industry Board, the Queensland Greyhound Racing Board, the Queensland Harness Racing Board and the Queensland Thoroughbred Racing Board. She also stood down CEO of Racing Queensland, Darren Condon. But Animals Australia says a cultural change is required in the industry right across the country.
