A further $52 million was cut from the arts budget in the government’s Mid Year Economic Forecast, leaving arts organisations around the country reeling. Youth Arts have been particularly hard done by already with the Australia Council disbanding its youth program this year. The government’s Book Council is set to go after barely making its way into existence.
