Students with low socioeconomic background and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students will be the most affected with the Federal budget.

Treasurer Joe Hockey has been finding it difficult to find allies for his first budget. The High Education sector has come against it with the proposal of deregulation of fees and an increased debt for students when graduating. Many organisations will push the Senate to reject these cuts.
