The NT Ombudsman is currently examining a claim that three teenagers were subjected to inhumane and unsafe treatnment after being transported from Boroloola to Darwin in the back of a paddy wagon – a distance of more than 1000 kilometres. Last year a young man was killed after being thrown from the back of a paddy wagon in the Kimberley.
