Many international companies such as Pepsi and Heineken have been shamed out of doing business with Burma because of the country’s human rights record. Now pressure is being put on French oil company Total. But Mark Farmaner of Burma Campaign UK says that France is protecting Total by blocking EU and international sanctions against the company.
