The Transport Workers Union of Australia has raised concerns about workplace safety for flight employees after MH17 was shot down over Ukraine air zone. TWU’s National Director of Aviation Shane O’Brien said airlines should be regulated to ensure the highest possible safety for its employees and customers, including measures to reroute around war zones. Mr O’Brien also said governments and airlines should not priorities profits over safety.
