UN forum could undermine progress on cluster munitions

Back in 2008 Australia signed an International Convention to end the use of Cluster Munitions, but the law has never been passed because of concerns loopholes could allow the US to transport and store the munitions on Australian soil. Now, an international meeting being held in Geneva next week has the potential to further undermine the existing international agreement.
