Ark Tribe, a South Australian rigger and member of the Construction Forestry and Energy Union, appeared in court yesterday charged with failing to attend the Australian Building and Construction Commission to answer questions. Faced with a six month jail term, Ark has brought the union movement’s fight for the Rudd government to scrap the ABCC, to the forefront of the public mind.
