Super funds doing ‘greenwash’ exercises on energy investments

A new report launched today found out superannuation funds are allegedly misleading their members by investing in fossil fuels rather than in cleaner renewable energies.
The report released by Market Forces say the super fund companies are ‘greenwashing’ their investments, and could be breaching rules from the Australian Securities and Investment Commission.
However, not everything is bad, as some superannuation funds are on the right path to disinvest in fossil fuel companies and invest in green energy.
