Children leaving foster care could be provided with greater care and support following the report of a Senate inquiry into out of home care. The report recommends a national approach to children leaving out of home care, better data collection and support for foster children up to the age of 21. It shows the number of children and young people in out of home care has more than doubled in the past 15 years.
