According to a new survey released by Biotechnology Australia, public concern over genetically engineered foods has increased over the last two years. Half the Australians surveyed would NOT eat genetically engineered food and around two thirds think the technology might be dangerous. The study has been released as Jeffrey Smith tours Australia to promote his new book “Seeds of Deception”. It reveals how industry and government collusion over the safety of GE food has allowed dangerous food into our diets. Christine Baker spoke to author Jeffrey Smith and Former Minister for the Environment in the United Kingdom, Michael Meacher.
