Scott Morrison plays Russian Roulette with asylum seekers

In a move which seems designed to make Immigration Minister Scott Morrison appear even tougher on refugees, changes to the Migration Act put forward by the Minister in parliament this week mean asylum seekers will have to prove there is a 50 percent chance they could be persecuted or harmed if they are sent back to their country. But Barrister Greg Barns thinks the law may face a High Court Challenge as it directly contravenes the UN Convention on Refugees.
