Report finds steep rise in youth ice addiction


The Baird government is mulling over whether they should arrest Dr Alex Wodak and other doctors if they go ahead with their plan to trial pill testing at music festivals, even if it means breaking the law. Meanwhile, a report has found that one in a hundred Australians are addicted to the drug ice. The number of regular ice users has doubled in four years, and experts say there’s urgent need to expand services to help people struggling with the addiction. Ice dependency is now most prevalent among 15 to 34-year-olds, with a steep increase in new users of the drug. What do these new statistics mean for the campaign for safe drug use in Australia?
