Remote Northern Territory communities will be the main “bread winners” under new funding to establish bakery-cafés in the territory.

The Northern Territory and Federal Governments have pledged $7.35 million to establish 15 additional bakeries. It’s hoped the bakeries will boost jobs, and supply remote communities with fresh food. Employees will be trained in food processing and retail banking as part of the deal.
