Reform commission recommends greater spending on Indigenous health

A new system, aimed at increasing culturally sensitive services, is one of the Health Reform Commission’s recommendations for improving Indigenous Health. The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Authority would ”purchase” services for Indigenous Australians from various health providers, ensuring that they, as the buyer, can monitor how well each service is performing.
