The Queensland government is the only state government that is not supporting the National Disability Insurance Scheme trials. On Friday, both the NSW and Victorian governments committed millions of dollars to support the NDIS in their states, joining the ACT, South Australia and Tasmania. Queensland Premier Campbell Newman refuses to commit any money to the NDIS saying it would only be implemented if funded entirely by the Federal government. Meanwhile, disability advocates agree that the government needs to be providing much more support for disability services.
