Today may mark the official end of 50 years of Naidoc, but Indigenous leaders are planning to continue the week with National marches rallying for political change. Brisbane Indigenous communty worker, Sam Watson, says in his community, this year’s NAIDOC focus has been centered on moving forward, with special emphasis on domestic violence and aboriginal deaths in custody.
