Almost 2,500 climate change events took place around the world this weekend. The marches were held on the eve of the Paris Climate talks. In Australia, as with the rest of the world, the focus was on a transition to renewable energy, for secure job creation, for clean air, for a healthy environment and a safe climate. Nearly 150,000 people attended climate marches around Australia. Regardless of the location of each march, all crowds were united by the goal to end climate change. In Australia, there was also a strong focus on the campaign for no new coal mines. Photography credit: Christopher Wright
