NSW Inquiry Finds Federal Nuclear Transport Plans Too Risky

The New South Wales Parliamentary Inquiry into the transport and storage of nuclear waste being presented today has found that the controversial federal government proposal can’t be justified and should be abandoned. The NSW Inquiry is critical of the Federal government’s plan to move nuclear waste from the Sydney nuclear reactor to an imposed burial site near Woomera in regional South Australia. Cinnamon Nippard spoke to Campaign Officer for the Australian Conservation Foundation, David Noonan.
