Australia’s shortage of nurses and midwives is nothing new, and now a new campaign is drawing attention back to the issue. The South Pacific Nurses and Midwives Forum was held in Melbourne to discuss issues regarding nursing and midwifery across the region.
The Australian Nursing Federation discussed the shortage of nurses and midwives in Australia, and launched their campaign to support qualified nurses and midwives in obtaining a job after they graduate, called “Stop Passing the Buck. Nursing Grads Need a Job”.
