In the 2020 Federal Budget it was announced that the government will continue to supply $41 million dollars to Indonesia to stop refugees from entering Australian shores. This policy has affected the lives of so many refugees, as revealed by a podcast that explores the impact, challenges, and adversity that refugees face when they are transferred to offshore detention centers.

The Podcast, titled The Wait, is co-hosted by Australian journalist Nicole Curby and Iranian Refugee stuck in Indonesia Mozhgan Moarefizadeh.

You can listen to The Wait here, or on the Guardian’s Full Story.
