The Federal Government announced funding for a new disaster relief and recovery agency this week.

The National Recovery and Resilience Agency will oversee policy and decision making processes to provide both disaster relief and prevention to affected communities.

Speaking with the ABC, MP David Littleproud said the funding will include seeing Australian households be made ready for disaster prevention.

This new disaster recovery agency has the potential to have radical affects on Australia in dealing with future weather events.
