More Australians bordering on financial despair

The income gap between the rich and poor continues to grow with more and more Australians facing the financial inequality brunt. A new report by the Australian Council of Social Services sees the top 20% of income earners receiving more than five times as much income as those in the bottom 20%. Also, wealth is much more unequally distributed with someone in the top 20% having 70 times as much wealth as a person in the bottom 20%. This means more Australians are facing the bitter end of housing prices, accessibility to education and health care.
