Forces larger than we can comprehend move underneath us, shaping our world over millions of years. Occasionally, we get to peer beneath the surface of the planet and make sense of it all. Associate Professor Wouter Schellart and Professor Wim Spakman have recently discovered the origin story behind two of Australia’s largest basins: the Murray Darling Basin and the Lake Eyre Basin. It’s a fascinating tale, on a geological scale.
