April Allderdice is an innovator when it comes to addressing climate change. She’s managed to set up schemes for people in the poorest countries to access solar power and clean-energy kitchens. How? She’s captured money from large Western corporates looking to offset their carbon emissions, and used the funds to set up microfinance schemes which loan the money out to poor people. April told Catherine Zengerer the scheme is not only addressing climate change, but also the health of women and children struggling against increasing pollution.
