Medical Equipment Security; Can you be hacked to death?

It would appear that many of the leading brands of important medical supplies such as insulin pumps and heart monitors have no wireless security protocols on their products whatsoever. An employed hacker for the internet security company McAfee demonstrated this week that he was able hack life-saving medical equipment via a remote radio signal.

However, is this a legitimate concern given that there have been no reported cases of assassination via medical equipment hacking? Are internet security companies simply trying to sell their security products, or could this be a pressing issue?
