The trial the government is planning in the Kimberly will extend welfare quarantining to all families, indigenous and non-indigenous, where kids are seen to be at risk Ralph Addis is the deputy shire president of the shire of Wyndam East Kimberly – he says the new trial is bound to have a big effect on his local community but he would like to see more support programs. He says there are plenty of jobs available now but when 80% of people have been welfare dependent for years they need programs to help them get into work.
